I have had people describe the Sentinal site as a dust bowl and man were they correct. If the winds are not up it is a pretty nice site, light domes are minimal and the surrounding horizon is low. The shots are kinda grainy, I had forgotten to switch back from the 3200ASA setting on the camera. I was shooting images Saturday night the 10th of November. Ken and I drove down for the last Sentinal/Schwaar Star party.
Meade ED80 APO triplet with Canon 10d at prime focus. Focus was achieved using a special T-ring gizmo called "Photo Sharp" that fools the camera into allowing the AF sensor to operate. You light touch the shutter button and then change focus until the camera beeps! I got mine from KW Telescopes in Canada.
Here's a shot of the new telescope transporter. '94 GMC Safari Van. It has a bunch of room and handles the weight of the trailer and cargo just fine. Finally got my new BEEVO plates, AZ DMV now offers a flag patterned plate.
My observing pal, Ken Sikes (who I bought the Safari Van from). We both have the same 10" OTA and Atlas mounting.
